Between January of 1962 and February of 1971, over 19,395,369 gallons of herbicide were disseminated in South Vietnam, covering more than 6,371,390 acres.  Of those amounts, 14,150,316 gallons were herbicides collectively called Agent Orange...The Orange Poison.  They contained TCDD, an impurity present in 2,4,5-T, an ingredient in the composition of the herbicide.  Its more familiar term is DIOXIN - one of the most toxic and deadly chemicals known to man.  More than 35 years later, there are still highly toxic areas of soil.  Food sources, fields, animals and food chains have been affected.  Innocent children are being born with serious birth defects.  This story is about them.

This is not political - on these issues we should stand together.  This is not about the morality of war.  It happened.  This is not about the morality of using AO.  It happened.  This is not about the morality of companies that made AO and sold it to be used.  It happened.  It is not about the right or wrong of Vietnam.  It is about generations of innocents and the land and the animals and ecosystems.  It matters not who was right and who was wrong....it matters not who won and who lost.  What matters is that we find a way to stop the harm the innocents suffer every day and for the future.
